I really enjoyed this one despite it being mainly focused on Kasper (I was very dubious about this when I read about the book months ago) and hardly anything on Tal. The main premise is that Kasper is in Novis, very very far away from his home and must make his way to a main port in order to make his way home. Along the way he meets some other men from the Kingdoms and starts to travel with them. Only he discovers that he must help them complete their quest deep into the unknown reaches of the land.

It is fun and exciting like the others, full of interesting occurances. But the main thing is that it links with the rest of the story. Old villians make a reappearance, the Nameless One starts becoming more prominant. And Macros has left quite a suprise behind.
