Miniseries

Part 1
The Battlestar Galactica, an old battlestar of the old Cylon wars is about to be decommissioned. The Commander's former Viper has been repaired ready for his son to fly at the decommissioning ceremony. Tempers flare, excitement and sadness fills the place, but when news of a Cylon attack on the 12 colonies reaches them, they go back into full fighting mode. When it becomes clear that the battlestar's old technology and lack of 'networked' systems is what makes it less vulnerable to attack, they do everything in their power to help. Quote:
Adama: This is the Commander. Moments ago, this ship received word of a Cylon attack against our home worlds is under way. We do not know the size or the disposition or the strength of the enemy forces, but all indications point to a massive assault against Colonial defenses. Admiral Nagala has taken personal command of the Fleet aboard the battlestar Atlantia following the complete destruction of Picon Fleet Headquarters in the first wave of the attacks. How, why doesn't really matter now. What does matter is that as of this moment, we are at war. You've trained for this. You're ready for this. Stand to your duties, trust your fellow shipmates, and we'll get through this. Further updates as we get them. Thank you.

Part 2
In the second part of the series, Galactica is the last remaining battlestar and when the newly sworn in President comes to the rendezvous with a train of ships in tow, the war effort has to be re-evaluated. After much deliberation, the survival of the species is put before all as Adama mentions the existence of 'Earth' the fabled 13th colony. The miniseries was very interesting and piqued my interest, I enjoyed the fire fights, the intrigue and the personal back stories as well. I liked how everything interwove and preluded to more interesting things to come. Quote:
Baltar: I have to warn them.
Number Six: How do you propose to do that? "Oh look, a Cylon device." "Really? Well, how do you know what a Cylon device looks like, Doctor?" "Oh, I forgot to mention I'm familiar with their technology because I've been having sex with a Cylon for the past two years now."

Season 1

101 - 33
Every 33 minutes, the Cylons come, each time the fleet needs to jump away, but time is not on their side, pilots are tired, the bridge crew are tired and the Cylons just wont let up. Something must be done and when, Adama has a plan, but will it work? I liked this episode, at least everyone looked really tired. Quote comes from Cally and Chief:
Cally: Why do the Cylons come every thirty-three minutes? Why not thirty-four or thirty-five...
Chief Tyrol: Cally.
Cally: What?
Chief Tyrol: Shut up.

102 - Water
Boomer finds herself soaking wet, no idea where she has been or why there is a G4 explosive in her bag. She returns the explosive and finds 6 others missing, not sure of what to do she consults Chief. When the water tanks are blown apart, all hell breaks loose. It was an intriguing episode, spoiled on first watching but copious amounts of ads, watching it ad free was the best, it flowed better. Quote:
Boomer: (seriously freaked) Oh, my God! Oh, my God, oh, my God... where are the rest of them?

103 - Bastille Day
Water has been found, but men are needed to get it, its a dangerous job, who better to ask than the hardened criminals aboard the their transport ship. But they want nothing of it and Tom Zerak takes control of the ship and a few prisoners on the way, it is up to Apollo to stop the 'blood bath'. I liked it,, kinda cute that they have the former Apollo facing up with the new Apollo. Quote:
Col. Saul Tigh: Where's your mommy?
Boxey: Dead. Where's yours?

104 - Act of Contrition
When a pilot dies on the hanger deck, a bunch of 'nuggets' (new recruits) start flight lessons. But Starbuck is letting her past get to her and when the Commander finds out what she did for Zak (Lee's brother), he forces her to continue with the training. Kinda a nice episode to explain more of the Zak-Lee-Kara issue. Quote:
Starbuck: [to a new group of recruits] Attention on deck. [None of them move]
Starbuck: That means on your feet, nuggets!

105 - You Can't go Home Again
Training the 'Nuggets' a bunch of Cylon raiders attack leaving Starbuck falling to a distant moon. As her oxygen runs out the team aboard Galatica must race against time to try and find her. This episode is the sequel to the previous one, bringing some of the issues to a semi-closed state. Quote:
Apollo: This ship is flying with some attitude.

106 - Litmus
When a Cylon agent blows up part of Galactica, taking 3 people with him, suspicion heightens on Chief Tyrol and Lt. Valerii. An independent tribunal is appointed to try and figure out how such an agent got on board whilst the fleet is alerted to the fact that Cylons look like humans now. This episode finally puts the annoying Chief/Boomer relationship to the test. Quote:
Number Six: Don't make me angry Gaius, you wont like me when I'm angry.

107 - Six Degrees of Separation
When Gaius refuses to believe in Number Six's God, she disappears, leaving him all alone to counter the attack of Miss Shelley Godfrey. Gauis must race against time and try and convince others of his innocence. This was an interesting episode, bringing more of the Number Six and Gauis Balter relationship into focus and onto a new level. Quote:
Gaius: No more Mr nice Gaius!

108 - Flesh and Bone
When a Cylon is found aboard one of the ships, it is up to Starbuck to find out where the nuclear bomb is that he planted. But the deceptive Cylon has other things in mind for her. Meanwhile Gauis's 'Cylon detector' gets it's beta tester, Boomer, with such an unexpected suprise! Quote:
Starbuck: I don't think the Gods answer the prayers of toasters.

109 - Tigh me up, Tigh me down
When Adama goes missing during a Cylon attack, Laura has reason to believe he could be a Cylon agent. But Adama brings aboard a woman who he thinks is a Cylon agent. Suspicions run high in this episode, though teh 'dinner party' is somewhat amusing. Quote:
Laura: You think THAT woman is a Cylon?

110 - The Hand of God
With fuel running low, the fleet need to find the appropriate ore before they run out. But when they find an asteroid full of the ore, it is crawling with Clyons. The only way to get it is to mount a strike against the heavily numbered Cylons. More of the Lee/Adama relationship spliced in with Gauis's 'understanding' of 'God' and an old fashioned 'shoot-em up'. I love the way the Viper's move - it is truly awesome and very believable (you can debate it with me but I know little of physics, more of a biology girl myself). Quote:
Lee 'Apollo': I'll bring it back.
Adama: You'd better, or I'll kick your arse. It's a good lighter.

111 - Colonial Day
As Colonial Day becomes closer the President announces that the conclave of 12 will be developed for the fleet, each colony selects their own representative, but when Tom Zerak is elected for Sagitarrius, things migh tnot be as rosey as they seem. Balter gets elected as Caprica's representative whilst Starbuck and Apollo are in charge of security on the luxury liner. This is a very political episode and we get glimpses of what could happen in the future. Though the best bit has to be the look on Lee's face when he sees Kara in a dress! Quote:
Commander William Adama: Politics. As exciting as war. Definitely as dangerous.
President Laura Roslin: Though in war, you can only get killed once. In politics it can happen over and over.
Commander William Adama: You're still standing.
President Laura Roslin: So are you.

112 - Kobol's Last Gleaming Part 1
The epsiode starts with Apollo and Adama having a spar with one another but quickly everything escalates when a planet which seems to be the fabled 'Kobol' is found. The only thing is to find a way to Earth the spear of Apollo needs to be found, that that is back on Caprica. Meanwhile on the planet, Raptor one has been hit by the Cylon raiders and crashes into the surface leaving the crew stranded in the ruins. Very interesting and as if I could've waited until the next day to watch part 2. Quote:
Adama [to Lee]: You've got to lose control, let your instincts take over.
Balter: I am tired of being pushed and proded around like I'm some kind of toy. I'm not your plaything!
Laura & Number Six: Plaything?

113 - Kobol's Last Gleaming Part 2
After the events of the first episode, the second continues with a suprising amount of speed. We get to see some of the Cylon's plan through both Number Six and Sharon. Also the Commander suspects that the President had something to do with Starbuck jumping away like she did. This episode quite frankly blew me out of the water, the pieces all fit together like some kind of puzzle, I truely enjoyed every minute of it. Quote:
Adama: I'm going to have to ask you for your resignation Madam President.
Laura: No.
Adama: Then I'm terminating your presidancy as of this moment.
